Name White Logo 3 Heidi Walton.png

Heidi Walton is a graphic designer and artist who studied graphic design and studio art at George Fox University and earned a BA in each of these fields.  She has over 8 years of experience including higher education, freelance work and working for businesses creating graphic designs with key Adobe programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (see more on Resume).

Recently she worked as the Marketing Assistant and Customer Service Representative at Get Lost Travel Vans for a seasonal position in Anchorage Alaska. Taking her knowledge of graphic design, illustration, photography, and creative writing, she has created engaging social media posts, blogposts, infographics and website updates for Get Lost Travel Vans to help inspire and inform customers.

With current techniques and great enthusiasm, she creates graphic designs that connect a business or client’s goals and ideas to their target audience. Her studio art is vibrant, full of color and detailed.

Graphic Design

Her graphic design skills are in the areas of illustration, typography, photo retouching, photography, color, composition, branding, marketing design, social media, package design, print design and creative writing. When illustrating, she can combine traditional or digital art and typography to create engaging graphic designs.  Her design projects have included web graphics for social media and print design marketing resources such as logos, brochures, posters, flyers, invitations, business cards, infographics and package design. Branding and package design are an exciting challenge to her because they allow her the opportunity to research a brand or product and decide how to tell its story through design. She has experience working with the basics of HTML and CSS through her college web design course and she continues to review and expand her knowledge today through the online learning platform Codecademy.

She enjoys working on projects independently and also as a team member. She had the rewarding experience of working as a graphic design intern at East Hill Church where she collaborated with other graphic designers and members of the communications department to create engaging graphics for social media, web and print design. Currently, she works as a freelance graphic designer and has created design projects for individuals, small businesses, and churches. Some of her graphic design projects have promoted special events such as the monthly Community Dinners and Holiday Community Dinners prepared by Sandy Assembly of God in the past.

Studio Art

Her traditional studio art has drawn its greatest influences from the beauty of the natural world. Animals and landscapes have always been favorite subjects of Heidi’s to paint or draw because she loves capturing their amazing details, patterns and colors. People are another interesting subject that she loves capturing in her art. With strong attention to color, light and detail, she brings the personality of people to life through her paintings. She has studio art experience in acrylic and watercolor, pencil and colored pencil drawing and in sculpting, photography and 3-D design.

Heidi lives in Oregon and enjoys exploring the vast landscapes of Mt. Hood, the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean. In addition to art and graphic design, her passions include hiking, snowshoeing, traveling, photography, and spending time with family and friends. She hopes to share more of her adventures with you through her art and design.
